Deira, Dubai · Est. 1990

Thirty-five years in the same city

Sougat Travel & Tourism started in Deira in 1990, when most of what visitors now come to Dubai for did not yet exist. We were booking desert trips and airport transfers out of a small office long before there was a skyline to photograph.

That length of time is not a boast, it is the reason we can tell you which operator actually turns up, which attraction is unbearable in August, and which itinerary looks good on paper and does not work on the ground.

What actually changes

What happens when something goes wrong

Most of a tour operator's value is invisible until a boat is cancelled or a flight lands late. This is the part worth comparing.

Booking direct with Sougat Tours	Booking through a listing site
Who answers at 11pm	Our own team, on the WhatsApp number you already used.	A support queue that forwards your message to the supplier.
If a tour is cancelled	We re-book you onto an alternative the same day, or refund it.	You wait for the supplier to respond, then claim through the platform.
Whose licence covers you	Ours — DTCM-licensed, named on your confirmation.	A third party you have not met and cannot check.
Who sets the pickup time	We do, against your hotel and your flight.	The supplier's standard slot, whatever your schedule.
Who checks the vehicle	Our operations team, before it reaches you.	Nobody in the booking chain.
If you want to change a date	One message. We hold the booking and move it.	Cancel, wait for the refund window, book again.
Who knows the destination	People who have worked it for years.	A search index.
What the price includes	Stated in full before you pay, transfers and fees included.	Often clear only at the final step.

We are not the cheapest listing you will find. We are the one that answers the phone.

Start to finish

What actually happens after you message us

The table above claims dealing with us is different from dealing with a listing site. That is easy to say, so here is the actual sequence, including the step everyone else leaves out.

01You send us the dates
WhatsApp, email or the form. No account, no card, no deposit to find out what something costs. The message reaches the operations desk in Deira, not a call centre.
If it is outside Dubai business hours you will get a reply first thing rather than an auto-responder pretending to be a person.
02We come back with a written price
Itemised: what is included, what is not, pickup point and time, and the total in AED. For the UAE tours you can also just book it yourself on the site at the same price.
If we cannot do what you have asked for on those dates, we say so and tell you what we can do instead. We do not quote something adjacent and hope you will not notice.
03Confirmation names the company you are dealing with
Every confirmation names Sougat Travel & Tourism LLC and the Deira office address, so you can check the operator before you travel rather than after.
Payments are taken on the group’s licensed payment account, so the charge on your card statement reads SOUGAT TOURS. If that is not what you expected to see, tell us and we will send the receipt.
04Your driver is assigned, and named
The day before, you get the vehicle, the driver's name and the pickup window — from our own fleet on the routes we run most, not whichever supplier answered first.
Flight landed late? Tell us and the transfer moves. It does not leave without you and reappear as a no-show charge.
05On the day, one number
The same WhatsApp thread you started in. Not a ticket queue, not a different department — the people on it can actually change your booking.
06If it goes wrong, we fix it that day
Weather closes a route, a supplier lets us down, plans change at 6am. We rebook, reroute or refund according to the policy on your confirmation, and you deal with one company throughout.
This is the whole reason the page above compares us with listing sites. When a marketplace booking fails, you are negotiating between two companies who each think it is the other's problem.

Nothing above is a promise we invented for this page — it is what our confirmations already say. If your experience differs from it, that is a complaint we want to hear, on the same number.

Who you are actually contracting with

Sougat Travel & Tourism LLC, licensed by the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism, operating from Office 08, Ground Floor, Saeed Al Harb Building, Hor Al Anz, Deira, Dubai.

That is the entity named on your booking confirmation and the entity responsible for delivering it. Our landline is answered by the same office — +971 4 269 5950 — and our team is reachable on WhatsApp 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

If you would like to plan something specific, our holiday packages and visa services are the usual starting points.

We booked a driver for a full day to go to Abu Dhabi. Everything worked very well, the car was clean and brandnew, we requested a child seat and also that has not been a problem. Would recommend!

We are extremely happy with the service provided by Ayub. He picked us up from Dubai Airport and dropped us at our Downtown Dubai apartment. The ride was smooth, safe, and very comfortable. Ayub is a kind, soft-spoken, and professional driver. The vehicle was very clean, and his friendly nature made the journey enjoyable. He also knows Downtown Dubai very well and shared helpful information along the way. Excellent service overall highly recommended!

Where our reviews actually live

Our Google rating is pulled straight from Google and updates on its own, so it cannot drift from what you see when you look us up. The Tripadvisor figure is read off the listing by hand on the date shown, and the card links to it so you can re-count it yourself. It is the listing for our Deira head office — the operation you actually deal with — and it is not the highest number we could have put here.

A Note from our Founder

Kifayat Ullah started Sougat in 1990, in a small office in Deira, with a telephone and a great deal more determination than capital. Dubai then was not the city on the postcards. There was no Burj Khalifa, no Marina, no queue of visitors arriving to see a skyline. There were traders, a creek, and a handful of people who believed the place was going to become something.

The early years were not romantic. Everything was done by hand — itineraries written out, seats confirmed by phone, guests met at the airport personally because there was nobody else to send. Work was won one customer at a time, and kept by turning up when it would have been easier not to. Resources were thin enough that every booking mattered, and that habit never quite left the company.

Thirty-five years later the city has changed beyond recognition and Sougat is still in Deira, still answering its own phone. The fleet is larger, the destinations reach past the Gulf into Southeast Asia, and there are people here who have been on the team for the better part of two decades. What has not changed is the standard he set when there was nothing to fall back on: say what you will do, then do it.

He would tell you none of this is remarkable — that anyone who shows up every day for thirty-five years ends up somewhere. The people who have worked with him would tell you that is exactly the remarkable part.
