The Burj Khalifa is the tallest building in the world, and there are three ways to go up it. The official ticket names changed in 2026: what used to be sold as "At the Top" and "At the Top SKY" is now Silver, Gold and Platinum. This guide explains what each one includes, which floors you reach and how to pick the right time.

Silver: levels 124 and 125
Silver is the classic Burj Khalifa visit and the one most families choose. A high-speed lift takes you to level 124, where floor-to-ceiling windows and an outdoor terrace look over Downtown Dubai, the Dubai Fountain and, on a clear day, the coastline and the desert. Level 125 sits directly above, with more viewing space.
Silver comes in a few versions:
- Standard Silver for a time slot of your choice: from AED 180.00.
- Sunrise with a morning treat, the quietest time of day: from AED 155.00.
- Fast track, which skips the regular queue: from AED 297.00.
- Silver with the Dubai Aquarium in The Dubai Mall: from AED 319.00.
- Silver with a café treat (AED 190.01) or with a rooftop meal (AED 315.00).
Gold: level 148, the SKY lounge
Gold takes you to level 148, at 555 metres, where the SKY lounge offers a smaller, calmer viewing area with an outdoor terrace. Gold guests use priority queues, are accompanied by a guide, and are welcomed with Arabic coffee and sweets. The visit then continues down to levels 124 and 125, so you see both.
Choose Gold if you want the higher view without the busiest crowds, or if you are visiting at a popular time and would rather not wait. Some Gold tickets also include a coffee at the café; prices differ between busier and quieter time slots.
Platinum: the Lounge on levels 152 to 154
Platinum is the highest experience the building offers: the Lounge on levels 152, 153 and 154, at 585 metres. It includes fast-track access to every viewing level, refreshments and canapés, in a quiet, seated setting. It suits a special occasion, a proposal or anyone who wants to take their time at the top.
Which time slot should you choose?
- Sunrise: the quietest visit, soft light and the city waking up. Good for photographers and early risers.
- Daytime: the clearest view of the coastline and the desert when the air is clear.
- Sunset: the most requested slot. You see the city in daylight and after dark in one visit. Sunset slots sell out first, so book them early.
- Evening: the city lights, and the Dubai Fountain show below.
Your ticket is valid only for the date and time printed on it, so plan your arrival around it.
Practical tips
- Where to enter: the entrance is inside The Dubai Mall, on the lower ground level. Follow the signs for At the Top Burj Khalifa.
- Children: children under 3 go free. Visitors under 16 must be with an adult, and a child ticket cannot be bought without an adult ticket.
- What to bring: there is a security check at the entrance. Large bags, strollers and sharp items are left at a dedicated counter, and outside food and drink are not allowed.
- Dress: smart casual.
- Arrive early: be at the entrance a little before your time slot, especially at sunset.
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between At the Top and At the Top SKY?
"At the Top" is the old name for the Silver ticket (levels 124 and 125). "At the Top SKY" is the old name for the Gold ticket, which adds level 148.
Is the Gold ticket worth it?
If you visit at a busy time, priority access and the quieter lounge on level 148 make a real difference. For a quick visit with children, Silver is usually enough.
Can I combine the Burj Khalifa with other attractions?
Yes. Our Silver ticket with the Dubai Aquarium (AED 319.00) covers both in one visit to The Dubai Mall, and the café and rooftop-meal tickets add a break with the view.
