Premium Evening Desert Safari with BBQ Dinner

This is the desert safari most people picture when they think of Dubai — an afternoon pickup, an hour of dune driving in the Lahbab red dunes, sunset from the crests, then a full evening at a traditional Arabian camp with dinner and entertainment.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Dune bashing

An experienced driver takes a 4x4 across the Lahbab dunes — the deep red sand south-east of the city. It is roughly 30 minutes of climbing, cresting and sliding, and it is genuinely exhilarating. Let the driver know if you would prefer it gentler; they will adjust.

Sunset on the dunes

A dedicated photo stop on a high crest as the sun drops. The light here is the reason most photographers rate the evening safari above every other slot.

At the camp

The camp brings together camel rides, sandboarding, henna, Arabic coffee and luqaimat, then a BBQ buffet dinner under the stars. Live entertainment usually includes tanoura and fire performances — served around low seating in a traditional majlis layout.

Choosing your tier

You can travel in a shared 4x4 or upgrade to a private vehicle, and choose standard or VIP seating at camp. VIP seating puts you closest to the stage with a more private table.

GOOD TO KNOW

Wear comfortable clothes and bring a light layer — desert evenings cool quickly once the sun goes down. If you are prone to motion sickness, eat lightly beforehand and sit in the front.
