Dune Buggy Dubai

This is buggy driving in the Dubai desert itself, close to the city rather than out toward the emirate borders. You drive your own machine across open dunes with a guide leading the route, which keeps the emphasis on driving rather than navigating.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Behind the wheel

The buggies are automatic and straightforward — accelerator, brake and steering wheel, with a roll cage and harness around you. A comprehensive safety briefing covers dune technique before you set off: how to approach a crest, how to read soft sand, and how to keep momentum.

Guide-led through the good terrain

An experienced guide leads the group to the more interesting sections of dune, so you cover ground that would take a long time to find alone, with photo stops along the way.

Single or double

Single buggies give you the machine to yourself; doubles seat two, so a partner or older child can ride alongside rather than watching from the camp.

GOOD TO KNOW

Multiple session times run through the day — early morning and late afternoon are the most comfortable and photograph best. Closed shoes are required, and a scarf or buff is worth bringing for dust.
