Madame Tussauds Dubai was the first branch of the 250-year-old attraction to open in the Middle East, and its line-up reflects that: alongside the Hollywood and music figures you would expect, there is an unusually strong Bollywood and regional selection you will not find in the London or New York branches.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Themed zones
Figures are grouped by world — Bollywood, sport, music, film, media and world leaders — each staged in a set built for photographs rather than lined up behind rope.
It is meant to be hands-on
Unlike most museums, you are encouraged to get in among the figures: sit at the table, take the microphone, pose for the shot. That interaction is the entire point of a Tussauds visit, and it is why groups tend to stay longer than they expect.
Interactive and VR zones
Several areas add VR and augmented-reality experiences on top of the static figures, giving a bit more to do between photo stops.
GOOD TO KNOW
Allow one to two hours. It sits on Bluewaters Island beside Ain Dubai, is entirely indoors and air-conditioned, and works well as an early-evening stop before dinner on the island.
