عن هذه التجربة

Louvre Abu Dhabi is a collaborative effort between the governments of the UAE and France. Contrary to its name, it is beyond replicating the model or content of the Louvre Museum in Paris. It rather establishes a rational route of discovery, openness, and oneness, thanks to its unique and enlightening approach. With Louvre Abu Dhabi tickets from Dubai, enjoy a stress-free exploration of this museum as you navigate diverse civilizations through its extensive exhibits, compare and learn them in-depth, and contemplate their genuine values.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Travel through Different Periods & Distinct Civilizations

With loans from legendary museums like Musée du Louvre, Musée d'Orsay, and Centre Pompidou, Louvre Abu Dhabi showcases a vast spectrum of objects depicting ancient and the latest contemporary artistic expressions in its massive 86,000-square-foot facility. With its hundreds of exhibits presented chronologically, it will take you through distinct periods, from the pre-historic times and the birth of Islam to the classical age and modern era.

Marvel at Captivating Architecture & Inspiring Location

Louvre Abu Dhabi Universal Museum is truly an impressive spectacle on water. Designed by the award-winning French architect Jean Nouvel, it encompasses a series of stunning white structures that reflect an Arabian city. In fact, it forms one of the main highlights of the thriving Saadiyat Cultural District, which also hosts museums including the Zayed National Museum and the Guggenheim Museum.

Feel the Impressive Rain of Light Effect

The museum's main highlight is its intricate and multi-layered geometric lace dome, enhanced by thousands of star-like cladding patterns. This is inspired by the region's ancient construction techniques, such as the traditional Falaj water system and interweaved palm leaves. The resulting structure provides elegant perforations, creating a stunning contrast of sunlight and shade. This makes for some stunning Instagram shots.

You can further enrich your cultural exploration by visiting Qasr Al Watan, showcasing the nation's heritage and architecture. For more Abu Dhabi experiences, explore Ferrari World Abu Dhabi, discover marine wonders at SeaWorld Abu Dhabi, or enjoy entertainment at Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi.

"The Louvre Abu Dhabi is genuinely one of the most beautiful museums in the world. The architecture alone — designed by Jean Nouvel — is worth the visit. Standing under the dome and watching the "rain of light" filtering through thousands of star-shaped perforations is magical. The collection spans 12 chronological galleries covering everything from ancient Mesopotamian artefacts to Van Gogh and Monet. I spent 3 hours and still didn't see everything. Children under 18 enter free which makes this perfect for families. The waterfront café is lovely for a post-visit coffee. Just remember — it's closed on Mondays!"

"As a French national, I was curious how Louvre Abu Dhabi would compare to the Louvre in Paris. It's a completely different experience — and in many ways, more enjoyable. The space is more intimate, the galleries are beautifully curated, and the chronological approach of placing different civilizations side by side is brilliant. Seeing an Egyptian sarcophagus next to a Greek statue next to a Chinese bronze gives you an entirely new perspective on human history. The loans from Musée d'Orsay and Centre Pompidou are exceptional. At 70 AED (about €17), it's incredibly affordable for what you get."

"We booked the private transfer from our hotel in Dubai and it was worth every dirham — the museum is on Saadiyat Island which is about 90 minutes from Dubai. The driver waited while we explored for 2.5 hours. The pre-historic and ancient sections are fascinating — they have artefacts dating back to 3rd century BC. The Islamic art section is particularly strong and beautifully presented. The temporary exhibition hall had a stunning Impressionism show when we visited. One tip: go early (9 AM opening) when it's quiet — by noon the tour groups arrive and it gets busy. The gift shop has beautiful prints and books."

"Stunning museum with world-class exhibits. The building itself is a masterpiece — the way light plays through the dome throughout the day is something you need to experience in person. The 12 gallery rooms each tell a different chapter of human civilization, and the quality of the loans from French museums is remarkable. Knocked off one star only because the museum is quite compact and can feel crowded on weekends. Visit on a Tuesday or Wednesday if possible. Also worth noting: the last entry is 5:30 PM, not 6 PM. The adjacent Saadiyat Beach is a nice bonus if you want to combine culture with relaxation."

"Third visit and I still discover something new every time. The museum does an incredible job of showing connections between civilizations that you'd never think about otherwise. The current collection has over 600 artworks arranged chronologically, and the temporary exhibitions change regularly so there's always a reason to return. Combined my visit with Qasr Al Watan — both are on the Abu Dhabi side and together they give you a complete picture of Emirati culture and the nation's vision. The architecture photographs beautifully — bring your camera for the dome shots, especially around noon when the light effect is strongest."
