Quad Bike Adventure RAK

Quad biking in Ras Al Khaimah puts you on your own machine in a desert that looks unlike anywhere else in the UAE — open sand running up to the Hajar Mountains, with far fewer vehicles around than the tracks closer to Dubai.

QUAD OR BUGGY — WHICH IS THIS?

This is the quad: an ATV you straddle like a motorbike, steering with handlebars and leaning into turns. It is the more physical, more direct of the two — you feel the terrain through the machine. If you would rather sit in a seat with a belt and a steering wheel, the buggy is the other option.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Briefing first

Every ride starts with instruction on throttle, braking and body position, so complete beginners are genuinely fine. A guide leads the convoy and sets a pace to match the group.

The terrain

Rolling dunes and firmer desert flats, with mountain views on almost every horizon. Longer sessions push further out into open desert.

Single or dual

Single-rider machines suit anyone who wants their own throttle; dual-rider quads let a passenger ride behind, which is popular with couples and with parents riding with an older child. Sessions run from 30 minutes to a full hour.

GOOD TO KNOW

Closed shoes, long trousers and sunglasses or goggles are strongly recommended. All safety equipment is provided, and bottled water is included.
